Cultural Literature
We work on life skills, money skills, job skills, and much more!
In September we are assessing needs, working on money and problem solving skills. We will also touch on wellness.
We will explore myths, legends, and tales from across the globe, investigate perspectives and the views of the authors, and create our own works.
We are starting out the semester by diving into the world of a girl from Pakistan. We will compare her perspectives and life with our own while learning techniques that writers use.
English Skills
Exploring Literature
We will be working on grammar, writing structures, comprehension strategies while exploring a variety of texts.
We are starting with assessments to pinpoint the skills we have and what we need to work on. We will also be working on writing skills and reading 'I Survived 9/11 Attacks.
We will explore a variety of literature forms including fiction, nonfiction, journals, and biographies.
We will start with assessments and then dive into the text and explore Fables from a variety of authors such as Aesop.

Fractions, word problems, and decimals, Oh My! We will gain skills in these areas and more!
We will start the year off with assessments to find specific areas of need. Then we will review past skills such as place value, fractions, and decimals.
